PROGRAMMING CHANGE

TIFF Cinematheque has restructured its 2009 programming calendar and will now offer Winter, Summer and Fall seasons. The intervening months of April and May will provide valuable planning time for exciting future programmes. Memberships purchased between April 2008, and March 2009, will be extended for three months.

• There will not be a separate Spring guide or calendar. We are using the months of April and May – which are already busy with film festivals around Toronto – as an opportunity to engage in future planning to deepen our commitment to the programming you love as we move toward Bell Lightbox.

• We anticipate collaborating with the leading Spring festivals on several screenings that will be available to TIFF Cinematheque members on a discount basis.

FAQ
Is there a spring Cinematheque season?
There will not be a separate Spring guide or calendar available. TIFF Cinematheque intends to present the same volume of programming annually as we always have, however it will be concentrated into three larger and longer programmes: Winter, Summer and Fall.

Is this restructuring of the Cinematheque calendar a temporary or permanent change?
This restructured calendar is to be our model for 2009 and 2010, the years prior to our opening of Bell Lightbox. Our organization is committed to year-round programming once we are in the new building.

I have vouchers I haven’t used yet that will expire between April 1 and December 31, 2009. Will the expiry date of these vouchers be extended for three months as well?
Yes.

Will membership prices remain the same with this restructuring?
Membership prices will remain the same for 2009. We have extended the expiry dates to all memberships purchased between April 2008 and May 2009 an additional three months as a courtesy to all members.

What are the exciting future programmes being planned?
We will announcing Bell Lightbox programmes throughout 2009. Click here to sign up for email alerts.
