Schedule Changes and Announcements

GUEST APPEARANCES ADDED

HUMAN RIGHTS WATCH: We are pleased to announce that the following guests will appear at TIFF Cinematheque during the Human Rights Watch International Film Festival:

  • Aissatou Diajhaté, Director of Programs, Stephen Lewis Foundation, will introduce the screening of TAPOLOGO on March 2.
  • Brad MacIntosh will introduce the screening of THE GREATEST SILENCE on March 2. A discussion will follow.
  • Linda Diebel, Toronto Star journalist, will introduce the screening of BACKYARD on March 3. A discussion will follow.
  • Shelley Saywell, writer and documentary filmmaker, will introduce the screening of BACK HOME TOMORROW on March 5.
  • Mary Jo Leddy, writer, speaker and social activist, will introduce the screening of PRESUMED GUILTY on March 6. A discussion will follow.

THE FREE SCREEN: Director Coleen Fitzgibbon will join us to introduce our presentation of her short films on Thursday, March 11. The screenings will be followed by a Q&A.


JIA ZHANG-KE VISITS TIFF CINEMATHEQUE!

Acclaimed director Jia Zhang-ke recently visited the Cinematheque, where he was presented with our "Director of the Decade" award in recognition of his major contribution to contemporary cinema.
